The VSC appliance provides and manages access to the available storage created in the NetApp Cluster to the VMware vSphere environment. NetApp also provides an additional appliance, the Virtual Storage Console (VSC). The vSphere Hosts will then connect to this newly created Datastore using the iSCSI protocol.
