One of my main frustrations in games like Neverwinter, Baldur's Gate etc. I would much rather see those resources used on engaging dungeons, puzzles, new classes/spells/abilities, environmental graphics, etc. I believe the main points of the BT games were exploration, puzzles, mapping (though an in game manual mapping or automap feature would be nice), the difficulty (when the going gets tough the bard goes drinking!) making you tuck tail and run back to town, coming back later to tear the place up, and yes even the 4x99 berserkers (please keep BT4 a blobber).ġ) The Combat 1st/3rd Person Debate: I believe it to be a waste of resources to put more emphasis than needed on graphics for combat. The original BT games are some of my favorite games of all time and I have the fondest memories of all for them.
If you have constructive thoughts or other things you would like on the list please post them and I will add them in to my original post.
It's my hope that other classic BT fans out there feel the same. I wanted to voice my concerns in hopes that the Developers and others will read and comment.
